To make sure he  imprisons the young man in the dungeon of his castle. He makes a deal with his daughter he is to be set free the minute his daughter marries the old businessman.

 

He keeps his word but that night before the old man goes to bed with his new bride. The young lover steals his money and elopes with his true love, never to be seen again.

Tinto Hill overlooks my little village in Scotland just south of Lanark. Many hillwalkers come all year round to walk the Tinto and many love just sitting there at the top.

 

It's easy to spend hours overlooking the farming country with it's harvests and the River Clyde that runs all the way to Glasgow.
