The beers below are just like traditional Scottish Border ales and amomg my favourite Ales.
The Broughton Brewery is only ten minutes from where I live-very handy.

To go to the Scottish Broughton Brewery web site and view their ales click here.

Often in the old days, the boys of Glasgow would gather up their monies and head east out to the smaller towns and villages at the weekend where they would drink and party and seduce the local girls.
On the sunday they would head home again to be ready for work on the monday morning.
When some time later they would venture back again the local girls would gather their friends to the pub saying "the Glasgow boys are here"
The Glasgow boys were not always single free men! except when they went east!

THE GLASGOW BOYS
1
WHEN THE WEST WINDS ARE BLOWING,
AND THE RAIN IT IS POURING,
THE CLOUDS DESCENDS ON YOU,
WHEN THE SNOW IT IS FALLING,
AND THE FOG IT IS CRAWLING,
THE NIGHT DESCENDS ON YOU.

BRIDGE
THAT'S THE TIME, WHEN THE GLASGOW BOYS COME CALLING,
THAT'S THE TIME, THAT'S THE TIME,
THAT'S THE TIME WHEN THE GLASGOW BOYS COME CALLING,
THAT'S THE TIME, THAT'S THE TIME.

CHORUS
AND IT'S HEY FOR THE GLASGOW BOYS ARE HERE,
WE'VE GOT PLENTY O' MONEY FOR THE BEER,
AND IT'S HEY FOR THE GLASGOW BOYS \RE HERE,
HEAR ALL THE PRETTY LAS3ES CHEER
2
FROM THE WEST COAST THEY'RE COMING,
HEAR THE SOUND OF FOOTSTEPS RUNNING,
LIKE A MIGHTY THUNDEROUS ROAR,
FROM THE WEST ROAD THEY'RE ROLLING
AND THE DRINK IS FREELY FLOWING
AND STILL THEY CALL FOR MORE

BRIDGE

CHORUS
3
TO THE WEST THEY ARE MAKING,
AS THE DAWN IT IS BREAKING,
AND THE SUN IT SHINES ONCE MORE,
TO THE WEST THE ROADS ARE HEADING,
BROKEN HEARTS THEY ARE BLEEDING,
TILL THEY COME AGAIN ONCE MORE

BRIDGE

CHORUS
