Parody and Parodies by the Parody Songs Man

Parody songs on this site are parodies
of mainly Scots and Irish folk songs.
Each lyric parody is written by me and
I prefer funny parodies including
christmas parodies.

I am adding more lyric parodies
to this site at the present time
so more parodies will be here soon.

This photo of me above is of me
performing at Tinto folk festival
-slightly hung over!
Hope you all enjoy the parodies
which mostly all have a humorous
theme

Scottish Parodies on this web site are all written by Bob Ferguson. The tunes are all mainly traditional so free of copyright.Bob Ferguson has been writing Parodies for years and the habit started out of just making fun of his friends.

It gave Bob great pleasure to take a beautiful romantic song that one of his fellow singers loved and turning it into a comedy Parody. Sometimes the cry of disdain would be heard from one of those dear fellows who hated to hear the song that moved them more than any other being set up by Bob.

Bob also writes more serious songs for his other bands Beggars Row, Celtic Horizon and The Triple Scots and has been touring as a professional musician and singer for many years.

Scottish Parodies the CD planned by Bob is being worked on at the present time so keep coming back for details of when the Parody CD is ready for sale.
